Peter & the Wolf

Seaside Brass performs Prokofiev's classic work with a modern twist.

The characters of this beloved tale come to life as they are represented musically by the different instruments in our brass and percussion ensemble. In our version, though, each theme is performed in a different style: Peter - NeoClassical, The Duck - Waltz, The Grandfather - Jazz Shuffle, The Cat - Swing, The Bird - Salsa, and The Wolf - Reggae. A narrator tells the story in a dramatic fashion, and conducts demonstrations and a question and answer segment after the performance.
